2.1. Data description

The Norwegian sales data are based on administrative reports from the Norwegian importers/producers of plant protection products. As basis for calculating the environmental tax, the reporting is mandatory and has to be confirmed by the companies accountants. The companies have to report on product level all their import/production of all their products. The sales data for active substances are calculated based on these reports and the concentration of active substance(s) in each product. The sales data are published on our website annually. Sales data on product level is also generated, and is available on request, but are not published.
