The overall objective of the programme is to contribute to poverty reduction in Africa in the context of sustainable development through support to private sector led inclusive green growth which fosters transformation towards green economy. SWITCH Africa Green is being implemented in 6 countries: Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Uganda.
The objectives pursued by the Annual Action Programme part IV and 2017 part I in favour of the Asia region are to enhance regional integration in South East, South and Notth East Asia, support the reintegration of unprooted people, and contribute to economic prosperity and the development of a green economy.
To develop a sustainable supply chain of sheep wool building insulation (SWBI) as a green, environmentally-friendly innovative product improving resource efficiency, contributing to poverty reduction, economic development and reducing air pollution and GHG emissions.
The action will reduce the environmental impact of the construction industry in Mongolia through introducing the use of fly ash from coal power plants for making greener building products and through supporting environmentally sustainable construction standards and practices.
Promote sustainable production and sustainable consumption patterns and behaviour in the construction industry in Mongolia by mobilizing the private sector along with relevant public sector authorities.
