In the margins of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on Africa Development (TICAD) today, Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica signed a new €50 million package to enhance efforts in North East Nigeria. 
The objective pursued by this special measure is to contribute to strengthening the food and nutrition security and building up the resilience capacities of crisis-affected communities in Yemen.
PROACT activities aim to reduce food insecurity in a timely manner, helping the most vulnerable groups recover from crises and and build long-term food and nutrition security (FNS).
Through the Pro-resilience Action(PROACT), the EU is engaged in reducing food insecurity in a timely manner, helping the most vulnerable groups recover from crises and facilitating the phasing out of humanitarian assistance and build long-term food and nutrition security (FNS). ProACT intervention is developed around two main objectives:
