Colour version of the third joint EU – Member States report on the implementation of EU food and nutrition security policy commitments. It presents an analysis of EU donors' alignment with the 6 priorities and examines two themes in greater depth - climate-resilient approaches and nutrition-sensitive agricultural practices. The accompanying Staff Working Document provides additional information and case studies supporting the analysis and findings of the report.
The project helps to improve food and nutrition security by training villagers how to diversify income sources and diets as well as by teaching mothers better feeding, hygiene and sanitation practices

Lutte contre la malnutrition au Burundi
Ce projet de réponse rapide est une action de prévention et de réduction de la malnutrition ciblant les acteurs (femmes et nourrissons) de la période des mille premiers jours. Il développe également un volet novateur de cantines endogènes permettant l’amélioration du taux de scolarité des jeunes enfants, en valorisant les productions agricoles locales (farine enrichie, haricot et lait sous vide).   Objectifs et résultats attendus
Aliment thérapeutique prêt à l'emploi (ATPE/RUTF) pour prévenir la malnutrition modérée; Foyers améliorés pour une économie du bois et un environnement de cuisine plus sain; Cantines endogènes (produits partiellement produits localement);
The AAP 2016, part 2 adopted on 4 August 2016 consists of the Pro-Resilience action -PRO-ACT 2016 which aims at building resilience of vulnerable communities by better targeting the root causes of food insecurity. It will operate in Bolivia, Central America, Horn of Africa, Sahel and Lake Chad, Central African Republic, DPR Korea, Yemen and Syria through various modalities: budget support, grants, EU trust funds and indirect management.
