The response strategy proposed in this CSP aims to strike a balance between the continuation of
existing, successful programmes and new priorities in response to the changes in the country since
the publication of the last CSP.
The Commission decided to align the timing of the mid-term review exercise to the Kabul Conference which took place on 20th July 2010. This has enabled a continued dialogue with the Afghan Government up to and following the Conference.
The general objective is to contribute to State building and to improve rural development and overall socio-economic recovery in Afghanistan. The project purpose is to improve sub-national governance and rural investment.
The Commission decision approves the 2011 part 3 AAP for the Asia region. It is constituted by the action “Aid to uprooted people in Afghanistan 2011-2013”. The maximum contribution of the European Union is set at 27 million EUR.
