EU support to land governance worldwide

The overall objective of EU support to land governance is to contribute to improve food security, reduce poverty and enable inclusive agricultural growth of partner countries thus contributing to realize Sustainable Development Goals 1 (End poverty in all forms everywhere) and 2 (End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture).

The programme's purpose is to secure land rights of rural population with a particular emphasis on women and marginalised and vulnerable people as well as to facilitate responsible investment into land and agriculture, preventing conflicts and promoting a sustainable and inclusive management of land and other natural resources.

Other partners contributing to the projects:  Swiss cooperation, German cooperation, FAO, national governments and NGOs.
