InfoPoint Lunchtime conference: Time to Stop Illegal Wildlife Trafficking

InfoPoint Lunchtime conference: Time to Stop Illegal Wildlife Trafficking

Wildlife crime is estimated to be the 4th largest transnational organised crime after trafficking in drugs, humans and counterfeit goods.  It is not just a threat to numerous species, it also undermines rule of law, good governance, well-being of local communities, and sustainable development. In light of the recent launch of the EU Action Plan against wildlife trafficking, ongoing WWF initiatives and the new action on law enforcement and demand management of wildlife in Asia, implemented by UNODC and CITES, will be presented.
