The objectives pursued by the individual measure are to stimulate economic and social development in Tajikistan's Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region bordering Afghanistan, and more specificaly to improve access of the rural population to sustainable, green, reliable and affordable electricity, as well as to reduce disaster risk through a more balanced energy generation.
The purpose of the evaluation is to provide a comprehensive and independent assessment of the European Union (EU)’s past and present regional cooperation in Central Africa, in order to draw key lessons and make recommendations for the future, including within the context of post-Cotonou and the next programming cycle.
