Terms of Reference for Verification Missions of actions managed by International Organisations

Terms of Reference for Verification Missions of actions managed by International Organisations

The agreements the European Commission signs with International Organisations under indirect management include a verification clause with verification provisions and guidelines for on-the-spot verification missions by Commission services.

Verification missions involve a review of the system of accountability for the action put in place by the International Organisation and checks on the information supporting the implementation of the specific agreement concerned and the use of the EC funds.

The following sets of documents constitute the Terms of reference to be used for these verifications.

The ToRs are different for the United Nations and the World Bank because of the special agreements in place with them.
