DCI - Non State Actors and Local Authorities in development

The objective of the project is to strengthen the employability and social integration of children and young persons with hearing impairment.
The objective of this project developed by the Society for the Welfare of the Deaf is to strengthen the employability and social integration of children and young persons with hearing impairment in Mauritius. More specifically: To enhance access of children and young persons with hearing impairment to secondary education and to vocational training. To train additional bilingual Sign Language interpreters(oral and sign languages). To regularly update the audiology unit to detect hearing problems.
The project promotes economic growth and opportunities for individuals in the informal sector in Brong Ahafo and Greater Accra regions in Ghana. Specific Objectives: To collaborate with Local Authorities to promote environmentally sustainable livelihoods and decent work for women, women groups and youth dependent on informal economies To improve transparency, accountability and revenue mobilisation of Local Authorities.

The project contributes to local economic growth and expands job creation in the Brong Ahafo Region and the Greater Accra Region. Specific Objective: To improve employment and employability for 6 000 youth and women through the promotion of local and environmentally sustainable businesses.  
The project supports local economic growth by creating economic opportunities for young people and women in the informal sector. The specific objective is to foster strong civil society and local authority partnerships that will promote local job creation, revenue mobilisation and expansion of economic activities in an environmentally sustainable manner in Ellembelle District, Western Region and in Ayawaso East and Ablekuma South sub-metros in Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) by the end of 2019.  
The project improves sustainable local economic growth and expands job creation in Asokore Mampong. Specific Objectives: To enhance the capacity of Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly to collaborate with civil society and private sector to mobilise revenues for local development. To promote transparency and accountability to citizens, and pilot two social businesses and three public-private partnerships.
The EU contributes to the process of designing land laws and carrying out policy reform. The EU also supports land administrations and sponsors CSOs in their advocacy work to promote equal land rights.
The overall objective of EU support to land governance is to contribute to improve food security, reduce poverty and enable inclusive agricultural growth of partner countries thus contributing to realize Sustainable Development Goals 1 (End poverty in all forms everywhere) and 2 (End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture).
