The project consisted of a Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Education for the review and validation of the Curriculum for B Certificate in-service and pre-service junior secondary teachers training in the perspective of piloting it over 2 years at one of the Teacher Training Institutes in the country, Kakata Teacher Training Institute, before its scale up.
Mini grid solar electricity services in 5 rural isolated communities in Lofa County. Health and education. Increased livelihood opportunities through productive use of energy.
The overall objective is to support the Government of Nigeria in promoting women’s engagement in Peace and Security in Northern Nigeria.
Violent conflicts, including attacks by the terrorist group ‘Boko Haram’ have persisted in Nigeria. This project, implemented by UN Women, adopts a number of strategic and sustainable approaches to improve women's participation in peace-building in target States, like the formation of a cadre of 121 community-based Women Peace Mentors, empowered to engage actively in conflict resolution processes in these States.

Since a few days most of the five villages in Lofa have started to feel what it means to have a quality energy in their houses. Especially light at night which makes their life context totally different. Plan International completed the first village (Koyama) commissioning with good results.
EU Delegation staff visited a project that is to strengthen civil society’s capacity to advocate for access to justice for women and girls and reduce Female Genital Mutilation. The staff had a dialogue with final beneficiaries in a village close to Buchanan facilitated by Action Aid that is implementing the project.
The project is implemented by Tropenbos International (TBI), Tropenbos Ghana (TBI Ghana), Nature and Development Foundation (NDF), Volunteers to Support International Efforts in Developing Africa (VOSIEDA), Groupe National de Travail pour la Gestion durable des Forets et Certification Forestiers en Cote d’ Ivoire (GNT-CI).
