Overseas Countries & Territories (OCTs)

At the 17th OCT-EU Forum in Papeete (Tahiti) today, the EU discussed its future partnership with Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) and signed five cooperation programmes benefiting EU OCTs, totalling €44 million.
Today, Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Neven Mimica, met with the Greenlandic Minister of Education, Culture, Church and Foreign Affairs, Vivian Motzfeldt to discuss the relations between the EU and Greenland, in light of the next long-term budget of the European Union. Under the proposed Multi-annual Financial Framework,  a new Overseas Association Decision will describe the Union's relations with the Overseas Countries and Territories, including Greenland.  
FIRST programme brings governments, regional organisations and donors together to develop effective policies in the fight against food insecurity and malnutrition and to promote resilience.
Today, Neven Mimica, Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, attended the 16th Overseas Countries and Territories - European Union (OCT-EU) Forum in Brussels. During the Forum, Commissioner Mimica launched seven new programmes worth EUR 103 million with high-level representatives of twenty five Overseas Countries and Territories.
