Young Portuguese pharmacist embraces her new life in Sweden
A good degree and years of training weren’t enough to get Portuguese graduate Claudia Batalha a job that would enable her to live independently of her parents. It all changed when her brother paid a family visit and talked about the opportunities he found living in Luxembourg. She decided to follow in his footsteps and look for work in the EU, ‘I realised while I would always be Portuguese, I was also European,’ says Claudia.
