The cross-border region covers the south west of the Netherlands and the north west of Belgium. It comprises the Dutch provinces of Zeeland & West Brabant and the Belgian provinces of Antwerpen and Oost- & West-Vlaanderen.
The cross-border partnership was established in 2003. The partners are involved in a wide range of activities for jobseekers, employers & employees and for the general public. The principal activities are:
The provision of Eures information and advice for job-seekers, employers and employees, on a day-to-day basis and during organised meetings, workshops and training sessions.
Integrated promotional activities focusing on the benefits of labour market mobility.
The organisation of symposiums surrounding actual cross-border labour market mobility themes.
The mapping out of the shortages and bottlenecks on the Eures Scheldemond cross border labour market.
The correlation of cross-border mobility issues and research into possible solutions;
The organisation of symposiums which target actual cross-border themes.
Organisation of training meetings for EURES advisors of the public employment service services and partners. Also the promotion of the exchange of vacancies, CV’s and best working practices;
Participation in job fairs and the organisation of the Eures Scheldemond job fair.
