As ESF implementing body at the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises we are funding ESF projects in the field of further training of employees, startups, clusters and technology in Berlin within a regional resp. city-wide ESF Operational Programme. We are looking for transnational partners implementing similar projects and activities, whether ESF funded or not, preferably in large cities or metropolitan regions.
A key feature of our activities is the typical eco-system of a large city including universities, research institutions, economic clusters, transfer of knowledge and technology, smart city approaches, incubators for startups and innovation and cooperation with large enterprises (corporates). The Berlin eco-system is partly linked with urban development and regeneration issues including concentration of activities in a range of growth and future-oriented urban areas (such as e.g. Adlershof or EUREF Campus). Renewable energies, e-mobility, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Internet Of Things (IOT), online learning and digitalization are representing some of our most important fields of future-oriented economic development.
We are interested in thematic working groups including all relevant stakeholders such as enterprises, startups, business promotion agencies, urban development agencies, training providers, universities, schools, coaches, consultants, banks, chambers of commerce, chambers of crafts, public auhorities, politicians etc..We also consider mobility measures of several days or weeks of our ESF target groups employees of enterprises and startups as well as project staff, whether traveling or hosting.
We are also very interested in aspects of social innnovation linked to our eco-system and funding activities (e.g. the sharing economy).
Don´t hesitate to contact us for brainstorming of options for fruitful transnational cooperation, any ideas and contacts welcome!
