We are pleased to invite you to a seminar organised by the European Network for Rural Development about “revitalising rural areas through business innovation”. It will be held on the 30th March 2017 in the Hotel Metropole in Brussels. Please inform relevant colleagues.
The seminar follows on from the Cork 2.0 Declaration for “a better life in rural areas”. It will show how rural businesses – both farm and non- farm – can innovate in ways that “create the conditions for future prosperity and vitality”:
- Participants will examine a range of key EU policies and tools for business innovation – through a rural lens (policies for digitisation, smart specialisation, social innovation)
- The event will showcase inspiring examples of rural business innovation and explore how such initiatives can be extended in practice through the Rural Development Programmes.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, French and German in the plenary sessions.
There are no participation fees, but participants will have to organise and pay for travel and accommodation themselves, once they have received the confirmation of participation.
Registrations will be open until 08/03/2017 but please register as soon as possible as places are limited. Confirmations will be sent regularly on the basis of the information on the registration form.
We attach a provisional agenda, the link to the registrations form and information about practical details.
Looking forward to seeing you at the seminar.
