The fifth meeting of the ESF TN Inclusion on 'Supporting Pathways Out of Homelessness with the ESF' took place in Brussels between 4th and 5th of May 2017. The meeting was co-chaired by Fintan Farrell and Patrizia Brandellero, and co-organized by FEANTSA.
The thematic focus of the meeting was the use of the European Social Fund in tackling homelessness. Participants to the meeting representing ESF National Managing Authorities and stakeholders had the opportunity to inform themselves about the policy context related to homelessness at the EU and national levels, with special focus on successful approaches such as ‘housing-first approach’. The meeting also highlighted some national projects which are tackling homelessness with the support of the European funds. The second day of the meeting was dedicated to the exchange between the participants on how the use of the ESF can be more effective in eradicating homelessness and poverty.
