Seminar on “Moving towards independent living and community-based care – EU funding instruments for children under protection”, 27 November 2019 in Budapest, Hungary

The seminar focused on supporting the passage from institutional to community-based care for children under protection, and the prevention of their institutionalisation. The seminar aimed to provide an opportunity for those in attendance to exchange information and practical examples on the implementation of the Common European Guidelines on the Transition from Institutional to Community-based care relevant for supporting children under protection and their families. A major part of the discussion was also directed towards the funding instruments available at European and national level to support the de-institutionalisation process in Hungary.

Organised under the framework of the Mutual Learning Programme, representatives from the Ministry of Human Capacities, national authorities, non-governmental organisation, as well as service providers and independent experts were in attendance.
