High participation at the "ESCO - Connecting people and jobs" conference

More than 220 people representing several organisations from employment, education and training joined the "ESCO - Connecting people and jobs" conference on the 9th and 10th of October in Brussels. In addition, more than 250 people followed the conference remotely through the web streaming.
On the first day of the conference participants had the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops and showcases and learn about how ESCO helps reducing mobility barriers and facilitating cooperation across borders – as well as between the employment and education sectors.

The second day of the conference was opened with a video message from Commissioner Marianne Thyssen, followed by a keynote speech, high-level panel discussions about the digitisation of the labour market and the future of work and closing remarks by Director-General Michel Servoz.
