ESCO is now available in Arabic

The ESCO classification is now available in Arabic. Currently, the Arabic version is accessible only as downloadable file. In the first quarter of 2018 it will be integrated in the ESCO API and the ESCO service platform.Only preferred terms are translated into Arabic; synonyms are not included.
ESCO supports other initiatives developed by the Commission aimed at making labour market and education systems more transparent, stimulating mobility and creating opportunities. One of these initiatives is the EU Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals that helps individuals to produce a profile of their skills and advisers to identify any recommendations or next steps. ESCO has been used in the development of this tool by providing a common language on occupations, skills and competences.
A showcase about ESCO supporting this tool has been presented during the ESCO conference in October 2017. This showcase aimed to introduce the EU Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals to the audience and demonstrated the added value of ESCO in recording skills.
