Presentation of ESCO in the European Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations annual meeting in Madrid

The ESCO team visited Madrid to present the ESCO classification to the European Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations-ENSHPO during their annual meeting. More than 50 representatives of organisations’ of health and safety at work joined the meeting. Among them, representatives of the Ministry of Labour in Spain, the European Agency for Health and Safety at work, the AEPSAL (Asociaciòn de Especialistas en Prevenciòn y Salud Laboral) and ISHCCO, International Safety and Health Construction Coordinators Organization.

During the first day, the ESCO team made an introduction to ESCO, presented ESCO's Continuous Improvement Process and ESCO's added value to various applications and employment and education and training sectors. 

On the second day, during an ad hoc meeting with representatives of ENSHPO, the ESCO team explained how the Commission intends to discuss with Member States the possibility of including private certifications and qualifications in the Qualifications' pillar of ESCO in the future. 

The Commission is looking forward to future dialogue and cooperation with ENSHPO to explore how its members can use ESCO to describe skills of the European Health and Safety professional profiles.
