Martina Toplicanec joined the European Political Strategy Centre as the Policy Assistant to the Deputy Head in October 2017. She joined from the position of Policy Officer in the European Commission's Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, where she was notably working on policy issues related to the European Defence Fund and the Investment Plan for Europe. Prior to that Martina worked in an EU agency, the Single Resolution Board, and the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations.
From 2007 to 2013, Martina worked as a Manager for an international management consulting firm, providing policy advice to private and public sector organisations. Her main focus was on financial services and regulatory issues.
Martina is a graduate of City University London (BSc in Finance) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (MSc in Regulation).
