With a first transnational seminar next week, which will be held in Naples from 11 to 14 june, the project "T.A.K.E. PART – Transnational Activities for Key digital skills in Engagement and youth PARTicipation" will start.

“T.A.K.E. PART: Transnational Activities for Key digital skills in Engagement and youth PARTicipation” is a project presented by the Italian Institute for the Future (IIF) and the European Movement Albania (EMA) as part of the Erasmus+ actions for the support to policy reform (KA3), in order to allow 100 participants from Albania and Italy (aged between 18 and 30 years) to take part in a structured transnational dialogue with policy makers on the topics of digital democracy. The project foresees the realization of two transnational seminars in the city of Naples, which will involve 50 participants each.

The participants will be involved in a preparation phase organized on site by the association of origin in which they will deepen the issues related to the global challenges of digital democracy and policies implemented at the level of municipalities, both in the City of Napoli and Tirana, and in other Italian and Albanian municipalities that can be considered “best practices”, in order to assess the state of the art of methodologies for citizens’ direct participation, through digital tools, to local decision-making processes. The mobility phase includes two transnational seminars during which participants will have the opportunity to discuss with experts and policy-makers on the issues of digital democracy and youth participation in local decision-making processes, making proposals, based on the previous analysis made during the preparation phase, that policy-makers will commit to implement in their respective administrations.

The project’s final output will be a “Handbook for key digital skills in engagement and youth participation” which will include both the analyses carried out by the participants on the tools currently used by European local governments in the field of digital democracy, and concrete proposals in terms of methodologies and good practices to be implemented to enhance the active involvement of young citizens in decision-making processes through digital tools.
