EPALE UK Health, Wellness & Adult Learning Focus 13 May - 6 June 2019

Language: EN

Having access to education and learning new skills can have a profound positive impact on health and wellbeing. Continuing to learn as an adult influences our emotions and encourages us to feel good about ourselves; in turn, having a positive view of ourselves and feeling confident about our direction in life can make us healthier people.

This event took place 13 May to 6 June 2019 and was a great opportunity for those involved in adult education to exchange ideas, case studies and resources with a focus on how adult learning impacts health and wellbeing. The week tied in with National Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK (13-19 May), which aimed to encourage the conversation around mental health, to fight discrimination and stigma and promote good mental wellbeing.

Blog entries to the EPALE UK Star Supporter Competition were showcased on this page for users to like and comment on and act as judges! The blog with the most likes and comments won a £100 voucher! See our Star Supporter Competition page for further information.
