What might life be like for people with intellectual disabilities in Ireland in 2030?

Vison 2030 is a half-day conference which will host a number of service-users, practitioners, academics and legislators, who will present their vision for a more Inclusive Ireland, and actions to achieve this.  

This conference aims to create a vision for the future of full, inclusive lives of people with intellectual disabilities, hoping to inspire, start conversations and promote future collaboration.

Speakers will include:

  • Dr Brian McClean, Clinical Psychologist
  • Fionnuala Tynan, Family Member, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick
  • Martin O’Connor, Clinical Psychologist
  • Madeleine Clarke, CEO, Genio
  • Brian Hayes, Chairperson, National Chairperson of the National Platform of Self Advocates
  • Brendan Broderick, former CEO, Muiriosa Foundation
  • Rachel Cassen, CEO, Leap Ireland
  • Minister Finian McGrath, Minister Of State for People with Disabilities


This event is taking place on Friday, April 26th between 11am and 5pm, in the Red Cow Moran Hotel, 22 Naas Road, Dublin.

This event is open to all those with an interest in the topic of policy and practice for individuals with disabilities. Tickets are required costing between €15 (for disability service user and unemployed) and €30 and are available on Eventbrite here.
