Quality assurance

The Meeting / workshop "Towards a regional on-line knowledge platform on Work-based learning" was organized by the KulturKontakt Austria, Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe (ERI SEE), and WB Chamber Investment Forum (CIF) in Vienna, on 28th and 29th November 2017.

The project of introducing a Qualification Framework in Secondary Education and Lifelong Learning has a goal of defining new occupations in accordance with the exit competences that students acquire in accordance with the needs of the labour market.

In this regard, a set of appropriate documents and a database containing occupational standards and guidelines for the qualification process is to be created.

All this is the task of Working Group 1.1. who held the seventh meeting on 22-23. November 2017. in Trebinje, in the hotel "Nar".

On the first week of November DVV International organised a follow-up seminar for participants of training „Development and Evaluation of Curricula for Adult Education“ who successfully finished all the assigned tasks and all three modules of the training.

The seminar was led by the trainers Prof.Dr. Šefika Alibabić and Prof.Dr. Miomir Despotović, and also Prof.Dr. Aleksandra Pejatović, professors from the Department for Andragogy of Faculty of Philosophy University of Belgrade.

In continuation of the visits to vocational schools and completion of education of external evaluators, the third training was organized, as well as visits to secondary vocational schools in Banja Luka and Prijedor. This training had the same content as the previous once, this time with a group of evaluators from the Republic of Srpska, among whom were representatives of the labour market, and advisors from the Pedagogical institutes, school directors and teachers of vocational subjects from secondary vocational schools.

In order to complete the education of the external evaluators, the fourth training was held, which also included visits to secondary vocational schools. This time it was Northeast Bosnia, so the visit included schools from Brčko, Gradačac and Zvornik.

As with previous visits and trainings, during the fourth training evaluators also worked on the analysis of self-evaluation reports, as well as preparations for external evaluation.

All visits were exceptionally well organized, schools were excellent hosts, and evaluators worked hard on self-evaluation process.

The Civil Society Forum “Education 2030: From Commitment to Action” organized by the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE), in the framework of the CONFINTEA VI Mid-Term Review in Suwon 24 October, looked at civil society’s contribution to securing the right to education and lifelong learning for youth and adults.

Training of external evaluators is taking place at Hotel Hills Ilidža, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 2nd to 4th October 2017.

Attendees are Advisors from Pedagogical Institutes, Directors and teachers of professional/vocational subjects from secondary vocational schools, and representatives of the labour market.

In total 28 representatives of the mentioned categories from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina are participating.
