Professional development of staff

The introduction of a qualification framework in secondary education school and centers of lifelong learning takes place according to the plan. Training of pedagogical advisers for conducting external evaluation was also realized as an essential activity.

The training was attended by representatives of the Pedagogical Institutes from BiH and the ministries of education that do not have established Pedagogical Institutes yet.

The high-level education conference “Contemporary Approaches to Learning and Teaching” starts today in Tallinn where nearly 200 European education experts discuss the alignment of education systems with the needs of our evolving society.

There are currently almost 50,000 adults attending literacy courses in Ireland.

These services are mainly provided by the Education and Training Boards' (ETBs) Adult Literacy Services and are very dependent on volunteers giving up 2-3 hours weekly to tutor. It is a great opportunity, and most volunteers claim that they get more out of the experience than they have to put in.
