Language: EN
Document available also in: FI

Posted by Reeta KNUUTI

This guide concerns the training of workplace instructors. The Finnish National Board of Education has prepared the recommendation on Training for Workplace Instructors, 3 credits on the training of workplace instructors in vocational upper secondary education and training, for instructors in preparatory training for competence-based qualifications, and for workplace trainers in apprenticeship training. Workplace instructors can also utilise the skills and knowledge obtained through this training in the instruction of students at other educational levels. This guide is based on the recommendation issued by the Finnish National Board of Education.

The Table Criteria for the Training for Workplace Instructors (included as appendix 1) served as further background for the guide. Themes key to the success and quality of workplace instructor training are discussed in this guide, with the purpose of providing ideas for the planning and implementation of workplace instructor training that fulfils the set criteria.
