The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the experts on the development of the “Open and Distance Learning” course which was introduced to the teacher training programs updated in 2018. The participants of the study were selected with maximum diversity, criteria and easily accessible sampling methods. Five academicians from five different departments of the faculty of education were included in this study, which was designed as a case study. In the study, semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used as data collection tool. The interviews were first recorded with a digital voice recorder and then transcribed. The data obtained from the interviews with the experts were subjected to content analysis with a qualitative approach. As a result of the research, the experts reported teacher competencies, course application and system-oriented views on the development of Open and Distance Learning course. It was determined that the subject was given an opinion with a more technology-oriented perspective.
