Adult skills: mapping investment

Posted by Jodie Crossley

This research was commissioned by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) in order to acquire an up-to-date picture of how funding for adult learners (19 plus) in England is currently targeted, and the costs and benefits of different types of provision and for different types of learner.

The report explores how public investment in adult skills through the Adult Skills Budget compares with other funding streams, such as investment by employers. This review took place before the apprenticeships levy on large employers.
