Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe

From April 24th to April 28th 2017 the Flemish Support Center for Adult Education (Vocvo) hosted the international training week ‘Education behind Belgian bars’ for teachers, education coordinators and others interested in the theme. Nineteen people from 6 countries (Norway, Georgia, France, Spain, Greece and Belgium) participated in the training week. The training gave them an idea of how prison education is organized in Flanders and Brussels. They were introduced in practice and policy of the Flemish prison education system. The participants shared how prison education was organised in their countries. In this EPALE e-zine you find out about the activities during this week, but you can also find other interesting content about prison eduation in Europe in EPALE's database.

"Suggest a friend" is the motto of the awareness campaign recently launched by the Committee of Former Adult Students of the Qualifica Centre promoted by the Professional School of Salvaterra de Magos (a town located in the region Lezíria do Tejo´, about 60 km from Lisbon), which aims to mobilize low qualified adults for training.

Adult students at the Qualifica Centre suggest and indicate the contact of a friend who has not yet completed levels 1, 2, 3 or 4 of the National Qualifications Framework.

EPALE Belgium and the LEK-AE project invite all Belgian teachers, trainers and coaches in adult learning and continuing vocational training on the 5th of October 2017 to meet in Brussels to celebrate World Teachers' Day together. This year's theme is: "Let Belgium know about adult learning". On World Teachers' Day teachers are recognized for their contributions to society.
