KA1 Project with VET schools (Maisons Familiales Rurales - MFR), named "European Mobility for a Dynamic Territory".
The MFR's will was to open their doors to another way of education and learning, so to non formal education. They co-built a scheme with 2 Europe direct centres named CREAN (Vire) and Maison de l'Europe (Evreux) and a non formal education association, named Maison pour tous-Léo Lagrange (Cherbourg). Together with the Regional Federation of Norman MFR, they've created 3 sequences on how to prepare participants to mobility and how to valorize their experience once they got back.
The idea has been to prepare students before departure in 2 steps:
- Step 1: What does it mean to be a European citizen?
A day (2 hours in morning + 2 hours in after-noon) spent a few months before departure with students and teachers.
The aim is to know better the EU, the rights, migrants' rights and situation, discussion around the country(-ies) where students would go...
- Step 2 : How can I spend the best time of my life in internship in Europe?
A day (2 hours in morning + 2 hours in after-noon) spent with students and teachers 2 weeks before departure.
The aim is to be ready to communicate with European people even if students & teachers don't know the language of the country, how to use the little english they have, how to strengthen self-confidence in building up a great relationship with the training master or people they meet, how to break bias on cultural diversity...
Different activities are performed such as a letter for themselves that they will open after their coming back to France.
Once they're back:
- Step 3 : How can I valorize my experience of internship in Europe?
A day (2 hours in morning + 2 hours in after-noon)
The aim is to put words on their experience in Europe, on how to talk about developped competences, either they're personal or professional, on how to bring up hidden competences. They can thus really have in mind and express their genuine professional and personal values, their employability Europeanly opened and share all this with their environment either personal or/and professional.
