Webinar: Blended Learning

11/04/2017
Language: EN
Document available also in: SL

The National Support Service for EPALE in Malta hosted a webinar on blended learning to support adult learning professionals. Participants learned about the different ways in which Blended Learning can be applied in adult learning scenarios.

The webinar featured Elaine Bonello, an eLearning educator with the Ministry for Education and Employment in Malta. As part of her responsibilities, she trains teachers on how to effectively use technology and social media with learners through sound pedagogical techniques.

Elaine has graduated with a Bachelors of Education in Computing from the University of Malta and has just graduated with a Master of Science in Digital Education from the University of Edinburgh. She has worked with the Directorate for Lifelong Learning as an adult educator and has collaborated with the Directorate throughout the implementation of the ERASMUS+ project Breaking Barriers: Embracing Literacy through Digital Media.

    Dear Mahira

Thank you for the interesting webinar!

I have one concrete question, hopefully you can help me.

I would like to know which minimal level is required for adult basic skills learners for reading/writing in the first language ánd the minimal level for digital skills, as expressed in ERK levels or PIACC levels.

And what are the other preconditions with respect to the learners, teachers, circumstances to your opinion?

    Thanks in advance

    Christine

    Dear Christine,

Just some clarifications: are you connecting blended learning with basic skills? Also, each country has their own entry levels and requirments accordingly.

    Regards,

    Mahira
