EPALE Workshop @Belfast Festival of Learning
22nd March 2017: 10.00 - 12.30 GMT in The MAC
The ePlatform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE) is delighted to once again support the Belfast Festival of Learning.
EPALE is a rapidly growing online community, which aims to support professionals and volunteers involved in organising, funding or delivering adult learning. The platform offers opportunities to make professional connections across Europe, and promotes greater sharing of best practice through the exchange of materials, resources and ideas on adult learning provision.
Over the past year, the number of practitioners joining the EPALE community in Northern Ireland has been steadily growing, with many making contributions in the form of blogs and resources.
This workshop will highlight the range of possibilities that the platform offers to share and learn across a wide variety of interests, including; workplace learning, older people, eLearning, essential skills, learners with disabilities, citizenship and inclusion.
The workshop will also focus on the general theme of the festival ‘Learning for all’ and engage participants in a discussion around outreach, diversity and the hard-to-reach. This will be led by Jane Watts, a senior consultant with Learning & Work Institute.
The workshop is free to attend and open to all those involved in recruiting and working with adult learners whether in FE, HE or the community/voluntary sector.
To register for the workshop please email Janett Scully: firstname.lastname@example.org before Wednesday 15th March 2017.
Lunch will be available afterwards - please advise us of any dietary requirements.
