The 27th and 28th of October 2017, it has been realized the Kick-off meeting of the “PAGES: Pathways for Guiding Employment Skills for ASD” (2017-1-ES01-KA204-038393) project in Madrid.
The PAGES’ aims are:
Take part in promoting the equality for people with ASD through training them in labour skills for the potential employment inclusion looking at least for the welfare of people with ASD in the regular labour market.
Contribute to create an inclusive methodology for people with ASD in the regular labour market and provide tools to involve all the actors, family too.
Facilitate the best working environment for people with ASD in the regular labour market that integrates this people as employees and promote respect for human rights and good treatment of these people.
Accompany the company in the hiring of this type of worker, in their correct incorporation to a job and its sustainability through external professional tutoring, if necessary, and in the professional qualifications of this group before joining the company. And this requires the creation of networks with local public or private organizations specialized in people with ASD who support.
For these purposes, the project will produce a GUIDE FOR RECOMMENDATIONS for companies for hiring people with ASD; a GUIDE OF GOOD PRACTICES for companies to create a suitable environment and good treatment of people with ASD at work; a GUIDE OF TERRITORIAL NETWORKS among related community organizations in an interactive map format.
