International Civil Society Week in Belgrade

International Civil Society Week (ICSW) was held from 8 to 12 April in Belgrade, Serbia.  ICSW is considered a platform for expressing attitudes of different participants and this year it gathered around 1000 leaders of civil society, activists, and citizens from different sectors and parts of the world in Belgrade. They worked together to find answers to current world challenges in the field of human rights, democracy and media

Organized by Civil Initiatives from Belgrade and the international network CIVICUS, with the support of the Balkan Network for development of civil society, the ICSW presented a program that included at least 30 sessions on following topics: freedom of expression and media freedom, emergency assistance to organizations under attack, increased civil society responsibility.
