Adult educator, is digitalization making you anxious?
Join us for the international seminar of the IDEAL project, to be organized in Paasitorni, Helsinki, on Friday 14 October, and be encouraged to use more ICT related methods to support your own work!
The objective of the seminar is to share practical tools on how to integrate ICT/digital methods in teaching adults with immigrant backgrounds. You belong to the target group of the seminar if you are:
- Adult education teacher or trainer in vocational or adult education
- Staff member of volunteer working with refugees or immigrant training
- Just interested in digital methods and adult education
The keynote speaker will be Russell Stannard from the UK, a founder of the popular site www.teachertrainingvideos.com. Russell has been awarded several times for his work in technology and training. In his talk Russell will highlight simple, practical tools and methods which every teacher will be able to try.
In the afternoon you can participate in one of the short workshops related to digital methods in teaching. Our international partners of the IDEAL project from Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Norway will lead these workshops.

The registration for the seminar will open in early August, but you may already save the date in your calendars! There is no participation fee for the seminar.
IDEAL – Integrating Digital Education in Adult Literacy – is a strategic partnership project supported by the Erasmus+ -programme. The main target group of the project consists of adult education teachers and trainers who work with disadvantaged groups and low skilled adult learners at risk of exclusion. Six countries from Europe are participating in this project coordinated by Luksia, Western Uusimaa Municipal Education and Training Consortium in Finland.
