EPALE Turkey Conference on "New Skills in Adult Education"

Within the framework of the Epale Project carried out by the Ministry of National Education's lifelong learning directorate, "New Skills in Adult Education Conference" was held in Izmir Kaya Thermal Hotel on 02-03 November 2017.

Topics such as adult education, health literacy, digital literacy, and learning to learn in Turkey were addressed in the conferences held with the participation of over one hundred adult educators from all over Turkey.

 

The opening speeches of the conference were made by the head of the social partners and projects department of the ministry of education's lifelong learning general director Sedat Abdulhakimoğulları.

 

Epale Project coordinator Gürkan Gökhan TÜRKER presented EPALE with a detailed presentation to the participants. Atatürk University Faculty Member Dr. Osman Samancı and Anadolu University Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Evrim GENÇ KUMTEPE They share information related to adult education in Turkey.

 

The second day of the conference, Süleyman Demirel University Faculty Member Emine ARUĞASLAN made a detailed presentation on digital literacy.
