EPALE and Erasmus+ Adult education conference
Digital participation: digital literacy for participation in the society of the future
EPALE Austria is organising a conference jointly with Erasmus+ Adult Education again this year.
The conference will discuss the potential offered by digitalisation for adult education in the pursuit of active participation in the society of the future.
Graciela Sbertoli, Chair of the European Basic Skills Network (EBSN), will give an insight into Norway’s approach to inclusion in the digital society in her talk on ‘Digitalisation and adult education’.
Birgit Aschemann, CONEDU, will use her talk on ‘Adult education and digitalisation: new opportunities and new responsibilities’ to discuss the cycle the use of digital learning opportunities follows and show the possibilities offered by large-scale adult education programmes such as the ‘EBmooc’ implemented in Austria in March/April 2017.
Three parallel ideas and networking pools provide a forum for discussing new approaches to continuing education for adult educators, digital learning resources in basic skills training and digital offerings for learning in the workplace.
The aim of the conference is to create both real and virtual platforms that reach across international borders and encourage sharing and learning between the different parties involved in adult education. The conference offers the chance to attend talks, as well as workshops and idea pools where initiatives and projects in the different countries of Europe will be discussed.
We would also like to invite current and future promoters of the Erasmus+ programme to this event.
