TRAINING ON BREAD BAKING FOR THE PRISONERS

Training on bread baking at roundhouse are organized by the Public Education Center in Karabük province in the context of the project ‘Making bread with prisoners’. The target group of the project are the prisoners of Karabük roundhouse.  The aim of the project is to provide prisoners with income in prison and adapt quickly when they come out of convictions and so, not to commit a crime again. Within the scope of the project, 30 prisoners have registered the training on bread baking for 5 days a week, by making 2000 bread a day.  They both meet the bread need of the prison and gain income by selling the remaining bread to the markets outside.

Spending their leisure time efficiently,
 Ensuring that they will be active citizens after leaving prison and preventing them to commit a crime again when they go out of the prison.
