The 2nd RBMPs were adopted in 2017as an integral part of the Water Sector Development Programme for 2017-2023. The information contained in the RBMPs was used to develop the Programme. Click here to view the Programme’s Implementation Plan.

Lithuania has four river basin districts, all of which are international. Nemuno RBD shares water courses with Byelorussia, Kaliningrad (Russia) and Poland. The other three - Dauguvos, Ventos and Lielupės - RBDs share water courses with Latvia.

The RBMP for Neumo RBD was adopted 21 July 2010.
Consultation on the draft River Basin Management Plans and Programs of Measures of the other three RBD - Dauguvos, Ventos and Lielupes finished at the end of October 2010, and the plans were adopted on 17.11.2010 by the Government.
