About Pollinator Park
Do you remember a time when the sky was filled with birds and bees, and colourful fruit grew from the trees? Did that world cease to exist, or did you simply cease to notice it?
Europe 2050 - Following a cascade of ecological crises, our world has been deprived of pollinating insects, healthy ecosystems and wealthy flora. Amidst this dystopian landscape lies a lavish green beacon of hope: Dr. Beatrice Kukac’s Pollinator Park, a safe haven for pollinators and an eye-opener for its visitors.
Pollinator Park was designed in collaboration with world renowned ‘archiobiotect’ Vincent Callebaut. It’s a 30-minute interactive and emotionally engaging virtual reality experience that immerses you in a futuristic world where man and nature co-exist in harmony, hoping to change your perspective and help turn the tide.
Visit Pollinator Park
As a park visitor, try your hand at hand pollination, go grocery shopping in a pollinator-deprived world, rediscover nature’s beauty and perfection and find out how you can protect the last remaining pollinators.
Puzzle together the full story via Beatrice's diary entries: collect at least 5 for access to the final Zoom Room and a new perspective on the world outside.

Frequently Asked Questions
Technical Q&A and instructions:
Pollinator Park doesn’t contain any offensive content whatsoever, which technically makes it a suitable experience for all ages. However, please note that:
- for now,the experience is only available in English, so it does require a decent level of understanding.
- Oculus advises against the use of VR under the age of 13.
If you wish to take in all of the content and interact with all installations, you’re looking at a 20 to 30 minute experience. However, just like in a museum or a zoo, you are completely free to move around and discover as much as you like: the experience is exploration-oriented and timings are merely an indication.
Yes. Pollinator Park will gradually be released in other (European) languages over the next few months.
No. The interactions and guidance are designed to make the experience easy and accessible for a broad range of users, even with no previous gaming experience.
No, you can also visit Pollinator Park in your web-browser.
At the moment, we support Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest 2.
For your safety and comfort, make sure to clear a 2 x 2 metre surface to move around in this virtual universe.
At this time, WebGL 2.0 (the development technology used) is supported by Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.
Some platforms and browsers do not fully support the recent WebGL 2.0 technology. This means that:
- Pollinator Park will not run on mobile smartphone web-browsers. The graphic performance needs are incompatible with the memory limitations of a smartphone or tablet web browser.
- Pollinator Park will only run on the following desktop or laptop web-browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.
No. The graphic intensity of the experience requires more memory than a smartphone or tablet web browser can provide.
The graphic intensity of the experience requires a decent amount of CPU and graphics performance. It is designed to run smoothly on most recent computers, but you might run into performance limits using:
- An older computer without a dedicated graphics card
- Very light laptops with minimal CPU power
There are several things you can do to optimize the performance:
- a quick fix is to make your browser window smaller.
- if you’d rather not compromise on screen-size, you could turn to the in-game settings (bottom right) and switch to “best performance”.
- ultimately, try enabling WebGL hardware acceleration in your browser’s settings (for Chrome, Firefox and Edge).
