In this section you can download training tools that have been developed by the European Commission as a support to all training structures and trainers with a special interest in EU Nature Protection Legislation – Focus on Species Protection. They can be used in a European, national or local training context, and be adapted to specific needs and target groups.

The present training package aims at facilitating the design and development of training workshops on EU Nature Protection Legislation – Focus on Species Protection including the following topics:

• General framework of EU Nature Protection
• Overview of the EU nature law and policy (Birds and Habitats Directive, main objectives and key features)
• Species protection provisions under the Birds Directive (Art. 5-8, Art. 7(4), Guidance on hunting, Art. 9)
