PROJECT DALL'OLIO ALL'OLIO [FROM OIL...TO OIL]:
This is a project to recover used cooking oil that is normally poured down the domestic drain causing serious environmental damage. The project was launched by Coop Lombardia in 2015 and aims at recovering the cooking oil in the Coop stores, by integrating the existing municipal collecting system. Collecting the oil used by citizens is done at home, in common plastic bottles, which are then transferred to dedicated containers, located within the Coop stores. The used oil collection, in addition to reducing the environmental impact, generates a virtuous process that reduces the cost of sewage treatment. Reused oil reduces the use of agricultural land for bio diesel production. Oil recovery thus becomes an action completely aligned with the principles of the circular economy.
