Between 8 and 15 applications for the title of European Green Capital is the norm to be received.  The amount of work foreseen is in the order of, but not limited to, 10 days.

Mr. Larry O’Toole, our current expert for the Waste Production and management indicator said, “It has been a pleasure being a part of the European Green Capital Award Expert Panel for the last three years. The innovative sustainable initiatives being implemented by European cities that have entered the Award have been of great interest to me and the rest of the panel. It has been a unique learning experience and has given me the opportunity to travel to some of these cities to see firsthand the sustainable solutions cities are implementing to tackle the many environmental challenges facing them today.”
