Amsterdam International Water Week

The Amsterdam International Water Week will take place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from the 2nd – 6th November 2015. The aim of the event is to connect the industry, science, business, policy and technology sectors and act as a platform for new alliances and innovative ideas. Topics from sanitation to food, finance to governance, through to agriculture and technology will be examined. The conference aims to bring together a unique mix of professionals conducive to our transition to circular economy and resilient cities, two important aspects of our own aims for our European Green Capitals.

02 11 15 AWater Week

The AIWW will combine a number of events with the main conference accompanied by the Aquatech Trade Exhibition, excursions to water projects in Amsterdam and the Netherlands, the Sarphati Sanitation Awards, an extensive programme for young water professionals and social events. This year’s programme has cities at its core with the programme divided into a number of themes including:

  • Urban resilience & adaptation to climate change
  • Urban utilities & the circular economy
  • Sustainable production & industrial response: reduce, reuse and recover.

EU Commissioner Karmenu Vella (Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) will be the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony. For more information and registration details for the Amsterdam International Water Week click here.
