Food waste has been a hot topic among eco-innovation stakeholders. The recent European Forum on Eco-Innovation in Hanoi also dealt with cutting food waste by using eco-innovation for sustainable food chains.

The initiative aims to completely neutralize all CO2 emissions generated by searches, which includes output from their servers, offices and the electronic devices you use. It also provides info (in French) on how green a company or brand is when you search for it.
You are invited to join an upcoming course on “New skills and occupations in Europe: Challenges and possibilities” that will take place at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) on 25-27 November 2013.
The course is aimed at PhD students, early-stage researchers and practitioners. In this context it will be a good occasion to reinforce the link between academia and policy. It is organised in the framework of the FP7 research infrastructures project InGRID – 'Integrating Expertise in Inclusive Growth in Europe'.
For the European Commission PIANOo and ICLEI developed a training to provide participants a theoretical framework and practical advice on how to implement Public procurement of innovation (PPI). The latest tools that can support you in PPI,will also be introduced and thoroughly discussed. The training package is specifically tailored to meet different needs, i.e. from beginners to those more advanced and also to focus on specific aspects of innovation and procurement, e.g. criteria setting or pre-procurement aspects.
