ECO-INNOVATIONat the heart of European policies
Eco-innovation will be a key driver of industry efforts to tackle climate change in the post-Kyoto era according to new book on green growth published by the OECD in January 2010.
The new book entitled Eco-Innovation in Industry is based on the first phase of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) project on sustainable manufacturing and eco-innovation.
Launched in 2008, this OECD project aims to accelerate sustainable industrial production through the diffusion of existing knowledge and the facilitation of the benchmarking of products and production processes. It also promotes the concept of eco-innovation while stimulating new technological development and systemic solutions to global environmental challenges.
