EPAEDIA is the EEA's new environmental encyclopaedia which offers news and information to the general public in a simple and fun way. It contains different levels of information to cater for differing degrees of interest in the environmental issue. These levels comprise: a short introduction, a snapshot or summary, and a full article.

Environmental education in the educational systems of the European Union ( ~300K)
On a visit to Scotland, Commissioner Wallström was impressed by a speech from Scott Brodie ( ~20K) of Portobello High School on participation by young people in the political process. The Scottish Executive Environment Group invited Scott to expand his ideas in a report "Involving Young People in Environmental Issues and Decision-Making- A Young Person's Perspective".
