Side session: Helping water technologies reach the market: the role for Environmental Technology Verification (ETV)

24 May - 14:30 - 16:00

Salon Rouge

Why is it so difficult for new water technologies to penetrate the market? How can purchasers of innovative technologies be sure of their performance? Can third-party verification help build confidence between technology developers, purchasers and investors?

The new Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) pilot programme is one tool supporting new environmental technologies through independent verification of their performance.

Participants in this Green Week session will learn about AdvanceETV, a new pilot programme and FP7 research project, as well as discovering innovations in the field of water technologies that have used this instrument. The session will also feature a debate about the value and limitations of ETV and similar instruments.
